I am the Principal at Orleans Elementary School and a speaker at local churches for the past 14 years. The greatest times for me are with my wife, Marilyn, and our three amazing kids, Josiah, Myah, and Micah.

This is my personal blog. It is focused on “living and leading with integrity”. Whether viewed as a husband, father, administrator, or preacher, I always want to be remembered as a man of integrity. I’ve not always succeeded, but I’m still striving to build this legacy. I hope that these posts will help you do the same.

I write on leadership, family, education, and theology. I will occasionally write about helpful life lessons as I experience them.

My goal is to create insightful, relevant content that you can put to work in your personal and professional life. If you are involved in education–as a student, educator, or parent–, a leader–or aspiring to be–, or trying to grow in Christ, then this blog is for you.

I typically post two to three times a week.

I worked in public education for six years as a social studies teacher for grades 7 through 12. I’m licensed to teach all areas of social studies in the state of Indiana. While teaching, I received awards as Oakland City University’s Student Teacher of the Year and the Indiana Association of Colleges for Teacher Education’s Outstanding Future Educator Award. I served as the Assistant Principal at Shoals Jr-Sr High School for three years. Currently, I am serving as the Principal of Orleans Elementry School in Indiana.

I have preached for the past fourteen years, visiting dozens of churches in southern Indiana. I have served as a youth pastor, assistant pastor, and senior pastor. The church that my family and I currently attend is The Church at Powell Valley. If you would like to discuss having me speak for your church or group, contact me and we’ll see what we can work out.

I have been married to my wife, Marilyn, for nine years. We have two sons and one daughter together. We live outside of French Lick, IN. In my free time, I like hunting, fishing, lifting, reading, and spending time with my family.

EMAIL Feel free to email me if you have any questions, comments, or want to schedule me to speak at your church or event.

Also, I would be honored for you to follow me on TWITTER or on FACEBOOK.

Hey Pastor Chris! Great site! I can’t wait to roll my sleeves up and genuinely read the whole site :). I have done some skimming through, not actual reading (except this page) and it looks like a great place to learn things and get some awesome questions I have answered! Thanks for the source!

Hey! Just wanted to invite you to visit and contribute to my newest web blog called Christian Teacher Forum here at WordPress. I am trying to build a networking community of Christian educators, whether they be in public, private or homeschools. It basically has topic discussion, good links, lesson plan ideas and resources for Christian teachers who just want to be the best that they can be!
