Revival Update…

Dale Begley has been doing an awesome job bringing a much needed word every session of the revival.  Sunday morning was the beginning of the revival and it runs all the way through Friday.  If you haven’t been there, you need to come!  It starts at 7:00 each night.  If you can’t make it, you can email me at stevensc@shoals.k12.in.us for a copy of the message.  Just include your mailing address and we’ll send you a CD free of charge.

 

Here are the highlights from my view on the services:

 

Sunday AM

• Sermon title was “You Must First Give Yourself To God”
• Revival only truly begins when HUNGRY people begin to pray and give their entire self to God.
• Praying and singing in the spirit during as well as praying God’s Word back to Him will bring about change quicker than normal prayer.
• Told a lot of really cool true stories of how revival broke out over the years in the U.S.  You should get the CD to hear all of the stories.

Sunday PM

• The Warriors for Christ flat brought it on this night.  Awesome worship.
• Sermon title was “Jesus Stands At The Door And Knocks”
• Jesus is standing at the door of his own church many times just waiting for someone to invite him in.

Monday PM

• The title was “You Don’t Have Any Excuse”
• With so many technological luxuries, we should have more time to pray.  But we all know that we can let these things actually draw us away from time with God.
• We have no excuse to get to know God more AND to reach out to others with the Gospel.
• If someone’s house was on fire, we wouldn’t think twice about getting out of our car and running towards the house to warn them.  Shouldn’t we be willing to do the same thing for those who are on their way to hell?
